A veteran Seraikela Chhau artist from a traditional family of Batidih, Seraikela, began his training at the age of eight under Padma Shri Guru Kedar Nath Sahu. A science graduate and trained classical vocalist, he has represented India in international festivals in France, South Korea, Indonesia, Italy, USSR, China, and Mongolia under ICCR. Recipient of the Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, he founded Srimati Uma Parvati Maha Vidyalay to train students in Chhau, classical music, and drama, continuing his lifelong mission to preserve and promote the Seraikela Chhau tradition.
