a renowned Seraikela Chhau artist, was born in Seraikela, Jharkhand, to the legendary Padma Shri Guru Kedar Nath Sahu and Late Bhargabi Sahu. Growing up in a family devoted to Chhau, he was inspired by his father to pursue the art from an early age. A B.Com graduate, Guru Bijay served as Senior Instructor at the Government Chhau Dance Centre, Seraikela, from 1990 to 2020. He has represented India in several international festivals in France, USSR, and China, earning medals and honors from various cultural institutions. Known for his innovative choreographies like Yug Purush Birsa and Paryabaran, he continues to train young artists and promote the traditional Seraikela Chhau across India and abroad.
